Fall Cookout on October 3rd

The Fall Cookout at 610 Clematis Street was lots of fun and attended by over 40 persons.  It was a big success that, if you missed it, you should be kicking yourself.

The Social Committee hopes everyone had a good time.  It sure looked like they did.

The food was plentiful and very good.  The hot dogs and hamburgers excellent.  Meat balls and cakes donated by Shannon were fantastic. (We thank Shannon big time for his outstanding effort and letting us benefit from his cooking and baking talents.)

We also want to give a tremendous thank-you to Damien who did ALL the cooking over a very, very hot fire. Everyone said the hot dogs and hamburgers were cooked to perfection. Thank-you, Damien!

The bar-b-que's Damien. Thanks, Damien.

Some persons brought food, wine or desert and some gave monetary donations to help defray the cost. Thank all of you. Everything was appreciated. And I hope everyone got to taste the deviled eggs from Lee and the great cookies from Wendy. (Too bad George couldn’t come down for the party.)

And thank you Matthew Leger for making the extra effort to get us the hot dogs and hamburgers at a reduced cost.   Fantastic hot dogs and hamburgers. Think you will ever get paid?

We were lucky and did not get the rain that we got in downtown on Friday night.  The weather was perfect and very few flys found our food tables, unlike a previous year.  A great evening.

Here are some pictures taken at the cook-out.

Another happy attendee..

A better bunch of guys is hard to find...

Thanks for coming, Keti. Enjoy.

Everyone sat wherever they felt like it.

And at the end several persons stayed and helped to cleanup.  I want to thank Barb & Jim Glaser, Mary Whitehead and Jim Neighbors (Security) for helping take down the chairs and tables and put all the food away.  It sure was nice having your help.  And whoever I have forgotten to mention in the cleanup effort, and there were more than just the 6 of us, please let me know by leaving a message at 277-7228  and I will get you listed ASAP so you also can share in the appreciation for your help.

Make sure you plan on joining us next time! The Holiday Party is scheduled for December 4th, a Friday evening.  A flyer will be posted soon and you will be able to sign-up at the Front Desk.
