Needing to satisfy an urge for sauerbraten (and it wasn’t me!), we went on a search for a decent German restaurant and found one at 806 Lake Avenue.
I always thought Lake Worth was at least an overnight drive (just kidding!), but it was an easy ride south on Dixie all the way to Lake Avenue. We were there before you could say Bratwurst Knackwurst Wiener Shnitzel (I think that’s the only German I know).
Little Munich is a small attractive restaurant with a huge bar up front. We weren’t drinking that night, but I’ll have to make a mental note to try the beer if I return during Oktoberfest.
Hubby ordered the aforementioned sauerbraten, while I liked the sound of one of the specials that evening and I wish I had written down the name. It was a combo of pork and veal in a “chop” with the consistency of liver — don’t moan because it was quite delicious. The sides were the usual of red cabbage, spaetzle, and German potato salad (I still like the kind with mayonnaise better). For dessert we chose the poppy seed strudel.
The service was super friendly and very helpful. It wasn’t crowded, which could account for the extra attention, but I’m sure they are just as amenable during season. I’m not the biggest fan of German food (with apologies to anyone who may take offense), but I thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience.
And on a further note…Lake Avenue is one of those trendy, funky streets of numerous restaurants and other entertaining venues, where you can have a pleasurable walk after dinner. We picked up a few menus along the way and will return to this area, including to Little Munich.

Hi Shelley… good directions. Maybe include approximate time to get there would be appreciated by readers?
Again, excellent restaurant review. You are the best!!!
Many thanks.
I may not be a fan a German food, but I really love your reviews. Keep em comin.

It is exactly 7 miles one way, door to door.
Took us about 20 minutes, driving slowly on Dixie.
