I don’t know how many times we passed by this spot at the north end of CityPlace with no interest for just a salad. I can’t remember exactly what prompted us to give it a try, but we now eat here frequently and I always look forward to it.
This ain’t just rabbit food!
Field of Greens is a small basic “fast food” establishment with a variety of signature salads, wraps and sandwiches, and an assortment of soups and sweets. You can also create your own salad, choosing from a multitude of ingredients, sides and dressings. There is a good selection of breads and beverages. Even when ordering one of their definitive salads, the servers are more than happy to “customize” it to your satisfaction if you would prefer to omit one or more of the fixings. All the combinations we’ve tried have been pleasing to the palate.
I have noticed recently that they have started serving in smaller plastic dishes than the much deeper bowls they once used for the salads, but you still get a decent bellyful at a great value.
If you have a craving for a casual meal and come to enjoy this little place as we have, be sure to ask for a card that they stamp at each visit. It may take eating a “field of greens” but eventually, after several stamps, you get a freebie. And that’s definitely a good bargain for good food.

Hi Shelley. Mary and I also enjoy the wonderful salads at Field of Greens. Not happy to hear that they are reducing the size of their portions. We love their Texas salad. ?El Paso? ? ?San Antonio? If it is the name of a Texas city, order it!
